What to Expect

All wedding festivities will take place on-site at our venue, Nxwhere California!

❋ PRE-CEREMONY COFFEE BAR

Get caffeinated before the big day! A coffee truck will pull up to the venue at 4:15pm.

❋ THE CEREMONY

The ceremony will take place outdoors in the high desert. This means: sand, wind, sun, snakes (just kidding about that last part). Please be sure to bring sunglasses and wear shoes with a thicker heel.

❋ COCKTAIL HOUR

Cocktail hour will take place a few steps away from the ceremony and we promise to have plenty of yummy appetizers to get you started!

❋ THE RECEPTION

The reception will take place outdoors in the spring evening. We recommend bringing a jacket or wrap to stay cozy as the evening goes on!

QUESTIONS

  • Our dress code is black tie optional. This means:

    • GUYS: A tuxedo is welcome, but a dark suit (navy or charcoal) with a dress shirt and tie is perfectly appropriate

    • GALS: Floor-length gowns, elegant tea-length or ankle-length dresses, or sophisticated formal jumpsuits are all suitable.

    The weather: May in Joshua Tree generally sees 70-80 degrees during the day, with temps dropping as low as 50 degrees overnight. For our afternoon/evening wedding and reception, we recommend bringing along a jacket or wrap to stay warm.

  • Our goal is for everybody to feel like they’re at summer camp—and we just happen to get married! Throughout the weekend, jeans, sweatpants, and comfy clothes are encouraged. You only need to get spiffy for the wedding!

    Joshua Tree is known for its hiking, so we definitely recommend bringing some comfy sneakers or hiking shoes to explore in.

  • Please let us know by March 31, 2027 if you’ll be able to join us! This will allow us to make sure we have enough food and drinks for everyone.

  • We will have shuttles available from the Joshua Tree hotels (where we have room blocks) to the venue. These will leave at 4:15pm on wedding day. They will return at 10:00pm on wedding night.

  • We invited all the wonderful kiddos in our lives, but want to be up front and let you know that the venue and celebration are very much geared toward adults.
